He is an honorary professor at the University of Cape Town and Nelson Mandela University and has received prestigious fellowships at Harvard University.
Ben Vinson III is a historian specializing in the African diaspora and the 18th president of Howard University. A former academic leader at Case Western Reserve and professor at several universities, he is also the author of numerous works and a member of prestigious institutions.
